Before there were humans
There was a race of humanoids
That looked like us
And talked like (some of) us
And were as modern as us
But they were different.
Chose their own styles
Had clothes, hair, jewelry, and skin as varied as their personalities.
Each as unique as a snowflake.
Didn't conform to today's norms.
Because back then there were no norms.
Only people that called themselves the anormales.
Or, translated to English, the abnormals.
Then humans came.
They were not like the anormales.
They were normals.
The humans saw them as a threat.
Tried to wipe them out.
Erase the first chapters in the book of history.
But most survived.
They posed as humans.
Pretended to be normal.
And though there are no longer any pure-blooded anormales,
The genes are still passed down by those descended from anormales
And I know this because I am sitting here,
