poem challenge: Light
Chook's picture

Leya’s white wall looked gray in the night

I guard her day through night.

Although I’m dead,

she can see me but

she wishes

she could feel me.

Nightmares come to steal Leya’s dreams,

but I saved her.

With my magic of light and

love, my soul starts to float above.

I’m free and she is safe.

The other cats will guard her now.

I begin to leave but

I realize I can’t say goodbye just yet.

I love her,

so I will guard her while she sleeps.
