Summer Nights

The middle of summer

Wind blowing through the trees

Sitting by the cabin and the campfire

Our faces framed by little yellow lights

Strung around the cabin and blowing in the wind

All of us laughing huddled around the campfire as the night grew darker

Us five sitting side by side as the day grew later

Until the fire was embers

The moon overhead

A warm breeze washing over us and blowing the trees

The perfect summer night
