poem challenge: Skirts

October

It was October,
but Margo was still wearing short summer skirts.
She bounced around
playing in the leaves
smiling from ear to ear

Everyone stared at her,
wearing her summer skirt.
Not a care in the world,
she went along her day.

Margo did not care if it was cold,
she did not care if she got stared at,
laughed at,
pointed at,
they were her summer skirts,
and she would wear them all October.
