It was Saturday afternoon when I asked my mom if my friend could come over. Mom said she would have to think about it. She thought about it for about five minutes and finally said, “yes.” So of course, mom had to text my friend’s mom, Wendy. Wendy also said of course.
I left my house and walked to my friend's door and knocked. Their door was all brown with a sign on it that said: Welcome. My friend came out of her pretty white house with a red chimney on the side.
“Hi.” I said.
“ “Let’s go!” she replied. We rode our bikes down the road. We forgot our helmets though. We were riding our bikes to my house when a car started to slow down. I was really scared because my mom taught me when cars start slowing down and turn towards you, you run home. My friend said to be calm because the lady in the car looked nice. She stepped out of her car and just nudged us to the side but she left a note that said, “follow me.”
