19 days

In 19 days I sever ties with the brown haired, green eyed girl
Oh, the eyes, how they dazzled me
Lush as a forest in summer
Setting aflame everything in their path
Blazing they'll hit, if they land on you
They show no mercy, they'll burn you too
Her words will spin a web around the unwary
At first they're sweet like candy, but soon they'll turn sour
Don't chase her for her charming manner
She's far more than her looks
She has you already clasped tightly in hand
Can't fly away now, little bird
For you it's too late

In 19 days I sever ties with the brown haired, green eyed girl
Her heart is too angry to calm the fires raging within me
It's alright, I've always preferred the company of white marble and midnight's wonders to her icy touch
Can't wear red, she said, it's mine now, I want it
I wasn't aware we can just take as we please
Well, two can play at that game
She values the comfort of a place called home
But I've grown rough from stormy weather
Security won't cut it for me, I want to live, I crave adventure
Far away from her, locked within her house of shattered glass and broken bricks

In 19 days I sever ties with the brown haired, green eyed girl
Where are you, my slippery friend?
The daylight's dying, your reign has come to an end
My night creatures are crawling
Run, for they have no mercy
And neither do I
And so I'm walking away
Away from her
Away from us
