The Cochrans' story just keeps getting better with Ryan Cochran-Siegle's silver medal in the super-G at the winter Olympics on Tuesday – 50 years after his mother Barbara Ann Cochran won gold in women's slalom at the Sapporo Olympics in 1972. Six members of the Cochran family have skied in the Olympics. Vermont – and especially the many skiers who learned at Cochran's Ski Area in Richmond, VT – are celebrating with them. If you learned to ski at Cochran's, share the experience – or if you want to send a big shout-out to the Cochrans, do it here! Read the VTDigger story. And the New York Times story.
