Hi The Lone Cat,
Your message is really powerful. It's a shame that you encountered some difficulties, but the drawing turned out amazing! I like how you incorporated nature and the topic by designing the cloud as a tree, as well as the other little things you added.
We're doing a recycling project at our school. Since our school is small there hasn't been too much turnout, but I think it's these tiny actions that may amount to some good. So, I agree with you - perseverance is key!

This piece is meant to be a metaphor for how the wonders of Earth are leaving. In the bottom corner, a small patch of vibrant flowers is floating away, turning into withered stalks, while in the distance smoke and fire rise. The cloud-tree is white, pure, heavenly, like how people say that rebirth comes from death.
The image overall seems pristine, bright colors against blue sky. However, once we notice the little details, we realize the hidden issue. It's like this in the real world - many downplay the significance of climate change, when its effects are swiftly bearing upon us.
There was some struggle for me to draw this. The computer I used is not very suited for being drawn with. It has also gone through a few years of wear which causes it to shut down sporadically, I discovered, so I had to redo my lost progress a few times. But though this was frustrating, it made me understand a part of the theme more clearly: perseverance is crucial. Let us start to notice the warnings now, persevere, and help magnificence stay alive.
