An endless void of dreams

Imagination. This is an incredible thing. People take it for granted, even though imagination is really amazing. So as far as we know the closest thing we’ll ever get to really capturing imagination is space. When we look up to the sky on a starry night, it is truly amazing. Every star, Jupiter, Mars, it's incredible. And this amazement is what drives scientists to do what they do best, discovery.

The Danger Zone

space 
darkness all around me 
the only light is that seeping through the cracks of my spaceship 
its cold, its quiet
to quiet 
I have questions 
So many questions 
How big are the stars?
What does Saturn's ring feel like?
What would happen if I went just a little bit farther?

Space is weird
There's no such thing as upside down nor sideways in space 
You're just simply…. There
Alive
Breathing 
Earth is so much different than space
There's no birds singing in the breeze, no children laughing, horns honking
There's no chatter amongst those around me 
It's just me
Me and silence

I feel as though I cant breath 
There's no air 
There's a man made bubble around my head 
Giving me limited time in space 
What if there are cracks?
I've always wondered what it would be like to breathe in space
What would happen 
How would it feel

Voyager

Bright, and Illustrious. Filled with craters and little pot holes in the ground that can deceive you from time to time. Its name is Voyager, the comet that I reside upon. It is always running at high speeds from the darkness that awaits far away from the gleaming suns of solar systems. Every once in a while Voyager will slow down when it gets too close to large planets, and I get a bunch of time to take it all in: the beauty, and the perfectness of the planets. During this time I reside in a space hut I made in a crater of the comet. I always draw the planets that we pass on a light layer of space rock and put them in a giant collection that I have made over the years.

A Space Among The Stars

To live in a space among the stars
I'd have to get binoculars
To see the dentist on the moon
And find the next Uber at noon.
To live in a space among the stars
I'd have to float to school in cars.
Instead of pools, we'd just have craters.
There'd be astral birds and mars-gators.

To live in a space between Neptune,
Instead of bicycles we'd have scoons.
They'd kick up dust as we glide by.
In place of cake, we'd have moon pie.
To live in a space by Mercury
We'd have astroids instead of trees,
And 'stead of rain its comet showers,
Northern Lights would be our power.

To live in a space between the stars
Beyond our sun and next to Mars
Betwix an astroid running by
Around the galaxy called Guy
Over a constellation new
That houses cutlery and spoons
Around the axis, over dale,
All while dodging Pluto's tail.
To live in space would be amazing!
