When the flowers bloom,
Colors of purple, blue and yellow
Littering my backyard
Spring is just around the corner
When the flowers don't bloom,
I see it as a sign,
That I'm still waiting for that someone to come around the corner
Instead of spring
But when no one comes,
And the flowers don't bloom,
What happens then?
Do the clouds turn gray?
Does the sun never rise?
Do all the heads in the world turn?
Or
Is there a moment of silence in the world?
Where you can't even hear a single bird chirp,
Or a frog croak,
Or the scream of someone far away
Will a kid cry,
When they realize they will be in winter forever?
Will their mother try and comfort them,
Even though she knows, she will be sad too?
Will we all cry,
When the flowers don't bloom,
And there isn't that someone waiting around the corner to surprise you?
Colors of purple, blue and yellow
Littering my backyard
Spring is just around the corner
When the flowers don't bloom,
I see it as a sign,
That I'm still waiting for that someone to come around the corner
Instead of spring
But when no one comes,
And the flowers don't bloom,
What happens then?
