poem challenge: Great Artists
Writer1326

The willows

I long for that warm feeling,
but not in the form I already know.
I am well versed in its song,
full of unspoken lyrics
I know by heart,
the words are engraved in my head.
I long for the song of the Willow Tree,
when the wind dances with its branches.
A song of mystery, it is.
I want to listen closely,
to hear its wisdom in song.
I wish for the song of the Willow Tree
to be engraved in my head;
for it to be a song I know by heart.
I don’t fear what lies beyond
the mystery of the Willow Tree song.
If I wish to hear the song of the Willows,
I must hear the entirety of its graceful song.
Until the Willows sing their song to me,
I am left longing for their angelic song.

Thank you! I was hoping to capture their beauty without going into too much detail!
