Stage fright

Standing still,
Frozen from finger tip to finger,
Trapped in place,
Fear clinging to my skin,
Fear crawling up my spine,
Fear wrapped around my neck,
Do not move,
A single twitch setting off the alarms,
Do not speak,
they could hear,
Ripping everything in their path,
Just to claw at my flesh as I scream,
Agony,
They are after me,
But I won’t move,
They are after me,
So why won’t my legs carry me away,
A split second that’s all I got,
I was free,
My breath coming back to me,
It powers me to flee,
Hide away,
From the crowd pity cheering for me,
Hide away,
From the metal microphone,
Hide away,
From the blaring lights
Hide me away.

  • Hike in the woods

The piercing air unwelcoming to tough bones, refreshing and soft in breathes.

The only noise in the quiet wood
    birds humming a song.
    One leg after the other.
Gazing at dead skies and the vast space,

  • Motherly love

All I remember about my beginning was dark, all around me pitch deep black.

Nothing  but flecks of color when I close my eyes to rest.

Until the day I looked toward her light,

  • Winter is coming

    Spicy fall wind
    Warm sunlight touching the
    frown lines on my skin
I sit there taking it all in
The sweetness of life and love
    Colors of autumn come
    Sunsets, pumpkins, leaves
