The White North

Past the border is where I’d go,

Alaska where there’s snow.

By plane through the air,

It’s where I’d see a bear.

If I’d go anywhere in the world,

It’d be in the woods with my gear unfurled.

And when I would head off to sleep,

I’d be in a cabin that’s on a mountain peak.

    If I had a garden

    It would be hidden,

    All people would be unbidden.

There would be vines on stone walls,

And a pond that would enthrall.

    There would be tilapia fish

    and all that I wish.
