"Flowing & Free"

In the style of Mary Oliver

Winter has just melted away
into a cool spring.
A cool brook
certainly too cool
to wade in ~ stands amidst it all.
The brook makes a pleasant sight
for weary eyes
as it fills itself with remnants of melted snow; 
all the while it keeps its steady flow 
of water.
No matter the season it keeps its path,
flowing & splashing through the trees.
Leaves & twigs swirl.
Rocks & pebbles sink ~ spectator stand by its brink
but the water keeps on moving
free & flowing.
Flowing & free.
