The Play of Life

I wonder sometimes what it would be like to be someone else.
To experience something I’ve never felt.
Sometimes you just need to get away

Be someone else, like in a play
The theatre is the world
The stage is yours so go right ahead
Show us your charms; be whatever you want to be

So crazy it might set off some alarms
In other people’s brains,
Thinking, is she a psychopath?
You know, I probably am,
I just know how to play it cool
Because I’m always walking down the narrowest path

As the curtains rise
People are waiting to see you
But to your demise, no one is going to
Because in this reality, you’re invisible.

No one can see you.
No one really cares
But you still care.
