At school today, only about half of the students were here (judging by everyone I've seen). Our cases have gone up a lot and there were 8 people missing from my Spanish class of 27, and about half of my journalism class was gone (we have a small class, probably 19 students). Apparently, at our "rival" school 75% of the students have covid/are quarantining, and the students are petitioning to go online. It's kind of crazy. Has anyone else been experiencing things sort of like this?

The same thing happened to me today! there were only 15 people in my class of 24 that actually showed up.

Yes, same here. You can fill out a form and just not go to school for as long as you want, for us! It's absolutely crazy.

Same thing at my school. Half the people are missing and we got retested on Wednesday

Oh, wow. @The Lone Cat, lucky! Our school isn't offering anything like that, and I don't think they're planning to shut it down, which seems insane to me.
I hope everyone's staying safe and healthy

At my school, anyone whose parents filled out this form thing gets tested every Thursday. The weird thing is, I don't think the lack of students was COVID-related though, which is really weird. I was asking around and it seems like people just didn't want to show up that day.
