“Perfect Pick” is a painting in watercolor and pen. I used a limited palette for the colors, and a wet on wet technique, and then I put the simple line drawing over it. I want my audience to notice the many loose layers of colors in different shades. I made the background gray to intensify the bouquet colors. The most successful part of my work was when I added the pen over the watercolor, it brought it all together.
