At Young Writers Project, we are committed to being accessible to any teen writer or artist who wants to join us. We have upgraded our website to improve our accessibility so that everyone feels welcome and comfortable here.
We worked with Tamarack Media Cooperative of Burlington, VT, to rebuild our site so it is barrier-free and compliant with website content accessibility guidelines. This includes high-color contrast, alt text to describe images, and improved keyboard navigation. Users can also listen to pages on the site. With accessibility tools, such as screen readers, users with visual and auditory impairments can now fully engage with YWP.
