Fire

She had never seen anything so magnificent in her life. In front of her stood flames reaching to the tips of the trees. All she could do was stare at the place she had called home for all these years. She was stuck frozen in place watching the fire engulf the entire house. It was actually pretty the way the flames wrapped around the pillars. Except for the fact that she had nowhere to go. Nothing left to call hers anymore.

Eventually the fire department came and stopped the fire and then left. All that was left was charcoaled wood. The top floor had collapsed and burned into the next. She walked through the debris trying to find anything to save. Nothing. Nothing but broken pieces of a home. And then she did it. Sparkling silver under one of the fallen pillars. She moved the pillar to the side and picked it up. It was a shiny ring. It used to belong to her grandmother. She remembered her grandmother would hold it when she was stressed. Then she would smile at it and put it back. She grasped the right tightly in her fist and hoped that everything would turn out ok.

    Happiness is….

The feeling of relief when you’ve completed all of the tasks for the day,

The breeze on your face while walking on the beach with the sky-colored gray.
  • Friends...

Friends can be both delight and pain at the same time. Being friends with someone brings good and bad memories and no relationship with anyone can be all good and all bad.
  • The Problem

“Where did you put the money??? The guy will be here any minute now and we can’t miss this payment!” I screeched at Chole.
