How do you see yourself? Make a collage, a painting, or use any other preferred medium of art to celebrate yourself.

A cinquain is similar to a haiku, being written in only five lines and restricting the number of syllables you can use. Write about anything that comes to mind, but make sure it’s in the form of a cinquain. 

Write about how snow makes you feel, whether it’s quiet, calm, happy, sad––whatever it is, write about it.

Paint or draw a still life of a plant. How does the light hit this plant? Think about how you would like to portray this plant.

Create an image that evokes the feeling of relaxing in the sunshine. What does this experience feel like? 

Do you have a particular item that brings you comfort and security? Write about this item and its magic. [Image by cedar on YWP]

When working on their artistic abilities, people often focus on representing the human body, and hands are a challenging aspect of the body to draw. Sketch (or photograph) hands. Do they tell a story? 

Write a poem that is based around the word interior. How many different ways can you use the word? How many different meanings can you think of? What images does it conjure up?

You've taken yourself on a solo getaway to a remote island for two days. Imagine what it would be like and describe the experience.

Using your preferred medium, create an image that represents your best or favorite moment from the past year. 

As the year comes to a close, reflect on and write about the past twelve months.

Write about two words that are interchangeable to you. Use the words in place of each other throughout a poem to show the way they connect in your mind.
