The Letters of my Soul

I'd survive on an island,

Just me and my thoughts.

I wouldn't be as lonely as you'd think.

I'd keep myself company

With merely three things:

A candle, paper, and ink.

In quiet isolation,

I'd spill out my soul

As words, stories, and poems.

I'd bring it all out,

All out of my head,

So I wouldn't be talking to no one.

But when I used all my paper,

My ink, and my candle,

In my mind I have no doubt,

That even then,

 I'd have company

In the part of my soul I 'd poured out.
