the girls in the graveyard

in the cemetery
blood moon shining bright

something stirs

a creature of darkness
awaiting its freedom

soon come its priestesses
bringing with them candles, incense,

and knives.

the girls who cared so deeply for the beast contained
pull a feast from their bags

and eat with her.

soon she is free,
and blesses each with a kiss.

then she is gone,
to seek the wind.
