Found (based of a song)

Every one has felt lost
Like they are drowning in a sea of loneliness
The icy cold
Cutting right down into your bones
Something so sad
There are no tears
There is no pain
Just numbness
Alone
At the bottom of the ocean
And when you try to come up for air
The waves just keep pushing you down
Blanketing you in the lack of feeling
Overpowering your already overwhelmed senses
You try to open the blinds
And let the light in
But the smiles of strangers are too much to take
Like the early morning sun
Too bright to bear the sight of
you feel forgotten
You try to yell
For somebody
For anybody
But your voice is muffled
By your own despair
You give up
And let yourself fall
You let yourself just lay there
Broken
Waiting
You think nobody will come
No one will see
No one will hear
But they will
You will be found
If you keep on crying for help
and waving through that window
If you carry that hope
And against that despair, hold your ground
You will be found.

    Looming over your shoulders

Each stack higher than its former

    Every thought and every scrap

Of an idea too scared to ponder

    Every moment that hurt

    Each minute that lingered longer

  • Inadequacy

How do I push the words out
    From behind my taffy tongue
    Thick with salty tears
    And full of grubby thumb

    I’m a child
    Pretending that I’m numb
    To escape the overwhelming feelings

    Why

When feet fall soft but quick

    Does the hallway extend

And the hot breath of whoever’s behind me feel hotter

Why do I stay pressed to the wall

    Like a stubborn gruby sticker
