Dinner with My Family

Tomorrow I hope to go to KFC.  I’ve always wanted to go there because the food looks so good.  I ask mom and dad to go and they say, “Y-E-S, Yes!”

Five hours later, we are going to KFC. Out of nowhere, Big Chungus, a giant ten feet tall, four feet wide rabbit pushes us off the road.

The car crashes into a rock.  We get out of the car. We are really hungry. We look around and see a rock shaped like a potato.

My sister says, “I’m eating that potato.”

Mom looks down and sees ants carrying a bag of potato chips.  Mom says, “I’m eating those potato chips.”

Dad sees yogurt in the car and says, “I’m eating that yogurt.”

I look around and see a zero star restaurant in the middle of nowhere.  “Instead of eating all that junk, let’s go to that restaurant,” I say.

“What is the name of that restaurant?” my sister asks.

Dad sees a faded away sign.  “I think it says Barney’s Bugs,” Dad says.

So we look on the menu.  We see: bug potato chips, bug steak, bug pancakes, and bug Peking duck.  The drink menu says, “Bug Milkshakes, Bug Orange Juice and Bug Apple Juice.”

Then the waitress comes up and says, “Welcome to Barney’s Bugs.  Can I take your order?”

It would be pretty rude to walk out, so we order something.  Dad and Sister order Bug Peking Duck. Mom orders Bug Potato Chips and I order Bug Yogurt.

When we get our food, Dad, Mom, and Sister all say, “This looks fine.”

I say, “Something looks fishy.”

But we eat it anyway.  When we all take a bite, we say, “Oh, what’s this taste?”

Dad says, “It’s filled with cockroaches.”

Suddenly Big Chungus appears and starts chasing us.  We run out of Barney’s Bugs. We run and run until we see the “Rutland” Sign.

I say, “Let’s hide behind a tree.”

“Good idea,” says everyone else.

Big Chungus crashes into another tree and he barrel rolls into a river.  We come out from behind the tree.

My sister says, “I think I see KFC!”
And to our delight, it is OPEN!
