A Single Penny

Passed from one hand to another. 

Lost in a drawer 

Next to that broken pen 

It's just change 

But a penny cant change into a dollar 

It can't be worth anything without 99 others like itself  

Unless a child trusts it enough to tell it a wish 

To drop it into the soft waters 

But will the wish come true 

Or will it let the child down? 

Just like how you let it down

Dropping it in the parking lot 

It is not worth enough to pick up 

For a single penny is never enough
