Boxes
When I was born, I was put into two boxes
One was a real box, clear, with little holes so I could breathe,
Because apparently, I couldn’t wait to be born.
The other one is ‘girl’

Worry Armor
Panic invades my body like wildfire.
Impossible to stop and impossible to slow down.
My legs fly out of the room without my thought.
My worry armor shields me with a cascade of tears
Legs flying.

If 79 is 2+2
Then a male sheep is a ewe
but if 79 is 79
then tie up your hair with natural twine
If today is yesterday the 79
then all the songbirds are to rhyme
79 is to take a nap too -

Heather on moors, waiting
For just the right moment
To burst into purple bloom
Unfazed by the whipping winds
That nearly knock me over
Waiting.

Cozy bedtime stories
Ready. Going to preschool.
I'm a princess on the playground
I am a child learning to read books -
Flying
In between the clouds,
I am in another world
Fluff above, fluff below
Another world.
Outside the clouds
Meadows of different greens
Cover the landscape
Like a very green lego creation
White wind turbines
