Evergreen
Evergreen sprigs line
The path I took
Down the river
And past the old saw mill
Here birds sing in shrill cacophony
And my heart beats in tune
To each whistle
Faster, faster
My thick skinned feet sing -
die tonight
if i were to die tonight,
i wonder what color your tears would be.
if i were to die tonight,
what flowers would you pick to remember me?
if i were to die tonight,
i wonder how you'd remember me.
you told me,
once, -
Footprints
There are no footprints in the snow.
There are no footprints.
I've left no footprints.

Free
Some feelings are too large to put words to.
They tug and they tear
and they pull and they rip
at your insides
until your existence can be summed up in that one feeling.
But you still can't force the words from your cardboard lips. -
For The Day
i dream for the day
when my words will be heard
even though i am
young and
female.
for the day
when i wont be told i cant
by strangers who dont even know my name.
for the day
my words will matter -
The First And Only Home
thank you,
i whisper to the body i have hated for so long.
thank you for being home.
sure, sometimes it doesn't feel quite right...
but home can be a transition place.
my body will stay with me-
it's here for the long haul.
