How much we have changed
Whispers of the wind
glow of the sun
my branches have begun to fall
my trunk has started to creak
the land has changed
the soil in which I am rooted
has held here for decades to come and go -
Nature
Nature has its own thoughts
feelings
words
I understand them as if they were my own
swirling colors in my mind
each one saying something new
telling something different

Palace of Love And Laughter
I open my eyes to rose petals
their scent wafting into the air
like gold droplets shooting to the sun
being carried through the air on a soft breeze
to a palace of heaven

Fresh Snowfall
The mountaintop glittered
Work of a fresh snowfall
With more flakes to come
Foxes run through the thick forest
Leaving petite marks as they go
Saying "Foxy was here"
Puffy chunks of snow
Fall from limp trees -
Flickering Candles
flickering candles in the open night
dying out as the sun rises
being lit as the moon shines
a new way in the dark
when the only thing you can see
the wide stare of the abyss
looking down from above -
The Universe at it’s Best
Giant orb in the sky
Tiny flames burn in the night
A whisper from the open
Golden moon shines
Stars sparkle in the dark
The universe at it's best
Staring into the sky

By the sea that you've filled
With the laughs that you've drawn
From ignorant thoughts,

To Be A Poem
If to be a sonnet is to be vain, then to be a sonnet is to be a friend.
If to be a limerick is to be laughed at, then to be a limerick is to be a child.

The Person I Want to Be
There is a person I want to be:
A strong person,
Someone who can stand up for herself
And others,
Who can increase her grit,
Who can push through the worst,
And always stand tall;
