About the Tomorrow Project
The Tomorrow Project is about civic engagement, having a voice on the issues that matter, and finding ways to look forward with resilience and optimism.
Since the project started in February, YWP writers and artists have been enthusiastically responding to a series of writing and visual art challenges on a range of topics including democracy & ethics, human rights, and the value of kindness. Awards of $250 will be granted to three writers and three visual artists in October 2025 after all submissions to the first phase of the project have been reviewed.
There is an energy and urgency around the Tomorrow Project, and it will continue beyond the initial phase (February-October) for as long it's needed as a platform to speak out and be heard on current issues. There will be more awards and many opportunities ahead to share the powerful work created here.
CONTEST DETAILS:
- Open to teens, 13-19, who have a YWP account. (It's free to join!)
- Must be original work and not published elsewhere. No AI.
- Respond to the Tomorrow Project challenges in the writing genre or artistic medium of your choice. No limit to number of submissions.
- Six grand prizes of $250 to be awarded in October 2025.
- Prize winners and honorable mentions will have opportunities for publication in YWP's digital magazine and anthology and with media partners.
- Deadline for all Tomorrow Project challenges is Oct. 1, 2025.
