Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders, 83, and New York Rep. Alexandra Ocasio-Cortez, 35, are firing up crowds across the country with their Fighting Oligarchy tour. Sanders' crusade against corporate power and inequality is the same as it always was, but the crowds are getting bigger.
“All over this country, people are struggling, every single day, just to survive,” Sanders told a crowd of 30,000 in Folsom, Calif., on April 15. His anti-billionaire, anti-Trump message is resonating – again! In his two runs for president, Sanders appealed to broad swaths of Americans who were just getting by while the rich got richer.
