The Dead Tree has a silver background with a thick black diagonal line. I like nature and was going for a tree look but I was inspired by the photos I put above my piece. One element of design my peace shows is Line. My painting is dominated by curved, flowing lines with bold black strokes. Another element of design my piece shows is Shape. The shapes in my piece are organic and abstract, irregular and free-form. I think that by making this I was inspired by others on the internet to do this. I hope my piece can do the same and inspire others to do the same and try something new. I think the most successful part of this piece was the background and the white going around the black branches. I like the gray background because it is shiny and makes the piece have a cool glare to it. I also like the white going around the branches because it gives it that nice aesthetic look. I think that my lines were not as good as they could have been but I am just learning and will improve as I go.
