Breaking thoughts into pieces
Taking hours, sweetheart
Bury your face in your hands,
Let the tears flow
Fix your makeup,
Make sure your face is no longer wet with the memories that
Slipped down your face
Onto the white pillow case
No one should know
No one could know that the pain eats away at the smiles
And overthinking ruins compliments
The mirror and the paper have heard the same words
Cry, and they know
Smile, and they see
Speak, and they hear
Exist in the shadows, that's all you can do
Escape through words
Piece them together
A never-ending puzzle that is your mind
People say that it is amazing, but they don't know that all of the words are a form of truth
Four, three.
Two, one.
Breaking
Thoughts
One, two.
Three, four.
Broken
Thoughts
A word, a raised voice
A tear, an empty shell of pain
They won't understand
Your poor, broken thoughts
Ripping through your head
Causing your knee to tap
Bad habits
Snapping, pulling, shutting everyone out.
You say you are done with it
Love, trying, waiting, wanting
But how can you stop,
When you look into those kind eyes?
The proof is there
But where are you?
Listen, listen,
Words, words
Hoping you can leave a big enough impact on the world,
Something that leaves a mark
Asking God to turn you into a sunset
Or a feeling
You never want anyone to feel empty
Hopeless, pained
Broken, unfixable
When you feel that every day, you know you don't want anyone to suffer as you did
Music, something to hear for comfort
A feeling of ever-impending doom after only two hours without it
Writing, a way to express
The feeling of ever-impending, weightless doom waiting to consume you
Breaking my thoughts into tiny pieces,
So you can thread them together again
But you are missing a piece.
Incomplete puzzles are never wanted.
Broken thoughts
one two
three four
Breaking thoughts
