Family

I was a kitten

Alone in the woods

With no one to help me

I was a dog

Running at the beach

With no one to watch me

I was a human

Kind and caring

I saw a dog

and a cat

I mew pitifully

Starting to cry

Until a young human

Scooped me into her palm

I was chasing a rabbit when I fell into a hole

I barked and I growled

and started to tremble

Until a human girl scooped me into her arms

I hug the dog

and stroke the cat

and I remember the days where I was kind

I think of my friends, my family

Who believed I was kind

The girl fed me

She pet me

She gave me a home

and I gave her my heart

The human fed me

Played with me

and took me on walks

Now I love her

With all my heart

I pet my dog and stroke my cat

and reflect the days when I was kind

My two friends

Are the perfect things for me

I love the dearly

and we stand together

Till the very end

  • The Window

I love my window; the window that lets me see outside. But today, when I looked outside, I noticed something. The clouds were dark but not storm clouds. Smoke and pollution were filling the skies and making it hard to look outside.

The awakening (2nd book in the short series)

    "Hipps!" I growl, "Appear!"

A small sigh came from blank space. "I don't want to, I'm scared of the coyote Cwiny, ack! Here he comes!"
