In the shadows, rights once won,
Begin to fade like setting sun.
The banners raised, the voices loud,
Now muffled by a growing cloud.
Once, the world had turned a page,
LGBTQ+ in a golden age.
But now, the ink is smeared with fear,
As old wounds open, far and near.
Laws that once said "love is free,"
Now twist and break, a bitter plea.
Trans voices silenced in their cries,
As sports and schools draw sharp divides.
A history, rich with fight and flame,
Now faces back, forgotten names.
What once was justice, clear and bright,
Is darkened now, consumed by night.
A battle fought, though slow and long,
With love as deep as any song,
We'll gather strength from every scar,
And fight for who we truly are.

Love the rhymes and the inspirational ending. This poem definitly brings a lot of awarness about how our equal rights are still in danger, and we need to fight in order to protect them
Thank you, that means a lot!
