Fire

Fire is like a person. You can change how it looks but it's still the same. 

You can color your hair, pierce your ears or change your clothes, but you're still the same person.

In a flame you can put salts or chemicals to change its appearance, but it is still a fire.

Only if you work very hard can you change. But then you risk blowing out your flame.
