Ignored

I'm used to
making friends
somewhat effortlessly 
so now I'm
a little confused

I guess you guys
are a tight knit group
but maybe you could
make room for me

I'm a new girl
but I'm friendly enough
I want to make 
some new friends
so give me a chance

You guys are only
a couple year older
so it hurts 
when you treat me 
like a child

You look
right through me
as if I'm not there
and maybe I
should speak up
because you don't seem
to hear me either

But maybe
I shouldn't speak up
because you guys
seem perfectly happy
ignoring my existence

I don't really care anymore
we seem to have
a mutual agreement
to ignore each other
and just not socialize

It's not ideal
but it seems to work 
I won't intrude
I'll find other friends
and you guys
just keep ignoring me
