Inspiration

A cloud of gloom and doom
hangs above our heads
and our eyes are on the ground
We feel that nothing can be done
that everything is lost
but there's something to be found
Out of the clouds shines a light
an inspiration to the artists of the world
For when darkness comes
the writers 
the singers
the painters
the actors
bring a twist and turn 
and a laugh
they find joy in the sadness
and laughter through the pain
and their art grows and glows 
through the dark
