I don’t live in a neighborhood but my family has a lake house on Lake Iroquois. We recently rebuilt the house. It's not huge but I love it. The house is right on the lake. We have a dock and a porch and lots of paddle boards and kayaks. We live there in the summers. I get to go on the lake all the time and invite lots of friends over. Speaking of friends, we have great neighbors. Before we talk about that though, let me paint you a picture of where my house is. The whole lake is very serene. If you have ever been to Lake Iroquois you will know that there is a beach that anybody can go to, sometimes we hang out there. Next, at the beach there is a private road leading to the lake houses. The dirt road itself is very bumpy because our neighbors installed speed bumps, because they have little kids. As you're driving on the road the first houses you will see are our neighbors, the Conants. They have a couple different houses on that property (they are all brothers). They recently adopted a dog named Nellie. One of the Conant brothers is Kim, another one is Chris; they are both very affable. Next to their houses is the Rossi's home. They have a dog named Olive who is friends with my dog Penny. Ernie, who is good friends with my dad and actually helped us find and buy our lake house (he is a real estate agent) lives there with his wife and two little kids. He has a rope swing in his backyard and always lets me and my brother play on it, he also has a floating dock that we swim to. Next to their house is ours, then it is our other good neighbors, Pete and Mariam. They have two dogs, one of them; Darla, also plays with Penny. They are both nice, avid people. They take us out on their boat and they are always walking and swimming with their dogs. There are a lot more houses on the lake but these are our main neighbors that we know well, and they are all great.
