Lady Liberty,
Standing tall,
Signifying freedom,
Yet we’ve lost it all.
Your copper figure
Has shifted to a remarkable green,
But our freedom is oxidizing
Before we get the chance for it to be seen.
Lady Liberty,
Please fix this all.
We wished for hope,
It's beginning to fall.
We’ve lost our unity.
Our statue still stands tall,
But a statue that signifies breaking free,
Feels like lost liberty.

I look at the sky,
The clouds paint pinks and oranges,
The sun shines yellow into the skyline.
Does the sky care about things humans ignore?
The clouds stream tears of pollution,
To have hope is to have a crown,
A pendant of confidence,
An oath to a future.
Hope is beautiful,
Occupies the minds of many
Driving home, nine at night.
I look up to stare at the stars,
But I can't tell the difference between the stars and satellites.
What a sad time,
