It was October, but Margo was still wearing short summer skirts.

Margo’s feet hitting the ground was the only sound in the area, as she passed abandoned cars and overgrown shopfronts.
She stopped and bent over to retrieve a dropped bag. Briefly examining it, she continued her skipping.
