My Spot

During the summer, when I need to get away, I go to my spot. Although my spot is open to the public, people don’t walk there much. My spot is tucked away in the forest. A place where only the locals know. My spot has one discrete, vegetation filled pathway located on the tree line. The pathway to my spot is stuck in the middle of a brook on one side with a hill on the other. Near the end of the path lies a pool of water tucked away deep in the forest. The brook flows down a sequence of rocks into this pool of freezing water. The trail continues on though it leads to a ledge hanging five feet straight above the body of water. My spot always has the perfect skipping rocks. There are so many flat rocks to choose from that I could spend all day skipping stones. One day, I went to my spot and I saw multiple fish swimming in the pool of water. I was startled because I was barefoot and I walked into the ice cold water just to be startled by numerous fish splashing in the water at my feet. I’ve been to my spot many times before, and I plan on going many times in the future. My spot is the perfect place to relax and be integrated into the natural world. My spot is the best.
