Sacrifice

A fire burns within me

Burns just for you

Can’t you feel the heat

Deep down I know you can’t

Even though I wish that you could

Fire will burn me up one day, I just hope that my ashes will keep you warm

Get back, my biggest fear that it won’t just burn me

Hold me until it becomes too much for me to contain

I just wish that I could be your warmth

Just be your heat on cold nights

Kiss away your tears as the blisters start to form

Let me please

Moments like this are burning away and drifting off like ash

Now I start to disappear

One by one my fingers glow and fly into the night

Please don’t cry, don’t you know that this fire burned just for you?

Quick just look me in the eyes one more time, this fire burns because of you

Right now I just want you to stay, feel my heat, the heat meant just for you my dear

Stop, don’t run, I know it’s bright

Turn around, please, watch me incinerate

Up, up, up, and away I fly, can’t you see how I smolder just for you?

Vibranet, that’s what I would call me light against the dark night sky, I’m almost gone

What are you doing? Why won’t you look?

X-ray me, can you see what’s wrong?

You can’t see I’m burning? I guess you would have to turn around to see me

Zillion pieces of me float off in the air, I’m gone now, I just wish I could have kept you warm

    Labels

When you label someone you put them in a box.

A child has to be innocent, a woman has to be perfect, a man has to be strong. All these labels that we have for everything and anything.

    Perfectly Imperfect

People have always told me that I’m perfect. I’m this shiny object that doesn’t have an imperfection in sight. But people don’t know that nobody is perfect, and that even seemingly perfect people have cracks.

    Mother Knows Best

Mother knows best. That’s what they always say. But what happens when she doesn’t know best, what then. I am left out in the sea whirling as the currents push me this way and that.
