"If you were a superhero, what superpower would you want? What would your superhero name be, and how would you use your superpower to help people?"
What silly questions, I mean what is a superhero? "hero" implies moral goodness and superiority, but what is good and what is bad? Of course having supernatural powers would be cool, but what makes one a superhero and what makes one a super villain? Everyone's perspective of good and evil are vastly different. If I saved my family using my super powers but the resulting collateral damage killed 10 people, would I be a hero or a killer? Maybe both? Maybe neither?
Now there are plenty of superpowers, speed, flight, light amplification by stimulated emissions of radiation vision, the sort. That being said, why would anyone want to share any superpower with the general public, the government would hunt you down to cover you up, people would be divided as the question of super beings would become the next episode of the Alex Jones show, sure you could help people, but then you sacrifice all privacy. Thus, the best answer to this question would be a power that isn't obviously supernatural, yet is useful, a power that can help people without blowing up buildings, and could be useful to myself without hurting anyone else. Therefore my answer would be super intelligence. Intelligence by definition is the ability to pick up, store, and recall knowledge. If your IQ was 10,000 (100 times the international average) you could learn everything the human race has ever discovered and help to put together the vast puzzle that is our universe. You could find cures to cancer, find the best feasible system of government, or simply take over the world using military techniques never seen before. In conclusion, this power would be the single best thing to ever happen to mankind, and would boost our societal progression ten fold.
