“I smash it with my mace!!”
“RUE!!”
Hi there, you may be wondering why this 16 year old toddler just decided to demolish a random cart. Well, because you can do anything in CnC, Clerics and Caverns, including make life harder for the poor NPCs that the party is supposed to SAVE. I’m the CM, cavern master, and my job (which I am currently failing at) is guiding the story along and making sure that no one SCREWS UP, but Rue just massacred the NPC that was supposed to give the inciting incident.
“okay, Rue, are you sure you want to do that?”
“Mhm!!”
I groaned, great. Now I have to remake the entire campaign, “right…well, I think that’s a good place to end…”
Erin, the mage, looked at me in confusion, “But we’ve only been here for 5 minutes!!”
“I said we can end!!”
I then proceeded to stay up till 11 am the next day trying to think up another NPC to replace the last one. Maybe it wasn’t such a good idea to practice CMing with the first edition and Weirder Things…
