Wings to Fly

Mother Bumblebee had lessons I took with me.

Wings, too small or so I'm told but she was not told at all.

“Don't listen to them,” she whispers to me “and it won't be a problem.”

My wings are too small to hold me I fear, I wish I could disappear.

Everyone said that my wings are too small but she says I should try for fun.

Mister Mayfly, my babysitter taught me to flap up and down.

But Mother Bumblebee made me see we can't fly the same way.

Back and forth she coaches me to help me fly like her.

And I get it I do, I just can't fly the same as the others or you.

Mother Bumblebee showed me to fly on my own and now I don’t care what they say.
