Without A Sound

Snowflakes danced through the still air,
Whispers of winter, crisp and fair.
Bare trees stood, their branches slight,
Cloaked in frost, bathed in white.

The wind hummed a soft and distant tune,
Underneath the pale, frozen moon.
Footsteps crunched on the icy ground,
Silence stretched without a sound.

A lone fire flickered, warm and bright,
Inside, the earth's embrace of light.
Outside, the world was still, serene,
A winter night, a peaceful scene.

In the cold, the stars seemed near,
A frosty breath, a world so clear.
And in this quiet, wrapped in snow,
Time slowed, and dreams began to grow.
