Would you consider graffiti art or vandalism?

One fact about graffiti is that most of the time when you see it, It's done without permission. Most people wouldn't want graffiti painted on their building without permission. If graffiti is done on private property I would consider it vandalism, but if it's done with permission it would be art. When people don’t have consent to paint someone else's building I would consider it vandalism. People who do graffiti with the agreement with the owner I would consider it art. People could be hired to paint cool designs or whatever represents the building that is being painted on.
When people don’t have consent to paint someone else's building I would consider it vandalism. “I think that people automatically jump to conclusions that it's illegal and not artistic.” Said Dermot Mac Cormack, that chair of Temple’s Graphic Arts and design department.” I think that if people don’t just jump to conclusions that graffiti is bad, graffiti could become something that everyone could agree with. If most people would agree with it then it could help with lots of things like making places feel more bright and make it be like a happy place to be.

People who do graffiti with an agreement with the owner I would consider it Art. From The Temple News: “Instead of being considered a meaningful expression, graffiti is seen as vandalism. This is an unfair label to give something that requires the same amount of creativity and hard work as other street art.” If you see graffiti, you can tell that a true artist painted it because of how cool and bright it is. When people see graffiti they might see it as vandalism or art, but if someone does a really good painting on a building that is a different style than graffiti would probably be considered vandalism because it's not like anything they have ever seen before.

People could be hired to paint cool designs or whatever represents the building that is being painted on. From The Temple News: “I don't see it as me doing something illegal,” said Gunk “ I think of it as me being in a competition with my surroundings.” You can see that Gunk is not afraid to paint on any buildings or have trouble with people who see him doing it. If people were always afraid to do graffiti, then the streets might just feel blank and colorless. People could be hired to make the streets more colorful.

In conclusion, graffiti can help make places feel happier when people are there. Some people might do a different style of graffiti that makes others see it as vandalism. A lot of graffiti artists aren’t afraid to get in trouble for doing it because they don't see it as vandalism. Try your best to help people find what to do with the art skills they have.
