Inauguration poem

America
We will come together
And build up the fire
And we will be the light ablaze
That guides others
From worldwide pandemics
When we must stay separate in life
We must stay together in
Soul.
No matter what
The sun will shine
Bringing us to a point
Where we can stand
And we will represent
E Pluribus Unum
Out of many, one.
So, we shall march
Through the valleys
And hills
We march conjoined
We march as one
We march together
We will not separate
From the spirit of America
And the words of wisdom
That speak to us
As the bonfire of
America.
The torch
The oak branch
And the olive branch
Under we stand
For independence and strength
For peace
And for liberty
All put together
Creates the great bonfire that is
America.
And when we come to a point
When the bonfire that is America
Starts to burn low,
All we need
Is one spark
To set ablaze
The bonfire that is
America.
Strong we fight
Long we last
Together we stand
As one
The wisdom whispers in the wind
Traveling through many entities
Becoming one
Us Americans
We march for our winnings
And we march for our losses
We may not all be whole at blood
But we are whole in heart
And in soul.
The African American
The Indigenous
The Latino
The English
The Jews
The Christians
The Muslims
The Buddhists
The whole
For we stand hand in hand
For America is built of
Many backgrounds.
Each and every being
Is kindling to a fire
The biggest fire
Ever born.
And this fire
Will carry us through the tough times
The devastating ones
The struggles
And the fire is
America
With a new president,
We will progress
We will learn
And we will be challenged
But those challenges will get
Pushed through
By the bonfire that is
America.
We will come together
And build up the fire
And we will be the light ablaze
That guides others
From worldwide pandemics
When we must stay separate in life
We must stay together in
Soul.
No matter what
The sun will shine
Bringing us to a point
Where we can stand
And we will represent
E Pluribus Unum
Out of many, one.
So, we shall march
Through the valleys
And hills
We march conjoined
We march as one
We march together
We will not separate
From the spirit of America
And the words of wisdom
That speak to us
As the bonfire of
America.
The torch
The oak branch
And the olive branch
Under we stand
For independence and strength
For peace
And for liberty
All put together
Creates the great bonfire that is
America.
And when we come to a point
When the bonfire that is America
Starts to burn low,
All we need
Is one spark
To set ablaze
The bonfire that is
America.
You may long for more
You may ask for freedoms
But once you are a part of
The bonfire that is America,
You have freedoms
For we are a
Free country.
Refugees are people
From other countries
That want to become the
Bonfire that is America.
And we shall welcome
And accept
These refugees
As a piece of kindling
That will live for America
And become the bonfire that is
America.
And the bald eagle will be watching
As the decisions are made,
The grandfather of America
The bald eagle
Soaring
Over sea
And sky
Spreading
Liberty and justice for all
July IV, MDCCLXXVI
July fourth.
Engraved
On lady liberty
July IV, MDCCLXXVI
But also a poem
Not like the brazen giant of Greek fame,
With conquering limbs astride from land to land;
Here at our sea-washed, sunset gates shall stand
A mighty woman with a torch, whose flame
Is the imprisoned lightning, and her name
Mother of Exiles. From her beacon-hand
Glows world-wide welcome; her mild eyes command
The air-bridged harbor that twin cities frame.
"Keep, ancient lands, your storied pomp!" cries she
With silent lips. "Give me your tired, your poor,
Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,
The wretched refuse of your teeming shore.
Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me,
I lift my lamp beside the golden door!"
A poem that represents the bonfire that is
America.
We need to come together to light
And bring the hope in our souls
And with a new president,
We will re-light the
Bonfire that is
America.

(Written in honor of President Joe Biden's Inauguration)
