Seasons Change

The changing of seasons is something that just comes and goes.
No matter what we do the weather changes.
Sometimes it's not for the best
Mud, rain, ice and slush
But then It ends and something new begins.

I have taken the changing of seasons for granted.
I am impatient in the fall waiting for snow,
Or in the spring waiting for sun.

I am grateful that the seasons change.
It gives me variety and suits the time of year
By the time I'm sick of summer's blazing sun, fall rolls around
with sweaters, pumpkins, bright colors, and the smell of leaves.

Then comes winter coating the earth in white.
Mugs of hot cocoa streaming, fires crackling.
The snow falling like feathers outside.

When the weather gets warm, I can go outside,
I can run and swim and hike.
Little fawns come outside for the first time.
Pops of green spring up around me.

I am grateful that the seasons change.
They keep me looking forward to something
and always give me new things to do
I'm thankful that the world keeps changing.
