If my life was a painting it would be messy, abstract work.
It would have a vibrant combination of blues and greens representing the ocean, the ocean in Martha’s Vineyard where my friends, family and I
have splashed and swam in for years and years.
If my life was a painting it would include all the people I love.
All my friends.
But not just any friends.
The ones who have had a huge impact on my life.
My friends that are family.
All the ones who make me happy when I’m sad.
The friends that bring me back and keep me serious when I get off-task.
And my family.
My family that supports, helps, and loves me.
If my life was a painting it would have a barre, pointe shoes, sneakers, tap shoes, and jazz shoes.
All the elements that help me dance, the thing I love most in the world.
If my life was a painting it would have bright white paint splattered all over the canvas.
Showing what the beautiful Vermont mountains look like in the winter time.
Where we ski and snowboard every Wednesday at 1:00 PM
And finally, if my life was a painting it would have a pencil and journal.
Where I could write down all my favorite stories and poems. Stories and poems of my adventures, my fears, things that make me happy,
and what the painting would be like if it represented my life.
